Student Showcase Interviews are important for students in CTE courses because they:
Provide Valuable Feedback: They give teachers insights into what worked well and what could be improved in the course, helping to make it better for future students.
Reflect on Learning: They encourage students to think about what they've learned and how they've grown, reinforcing their knowledge and skills.
Prepare for the Workforce: They help students practice important interview skills, which are crucial for job hunting.
Assess Readiness: They allow teachers to assess if students are ready for the next step, whether that's a job, an internship, or further education.
Can be Graded: While the Student Showcase Interviews are required for course completion, it is up to the instructor if they would like to include them as a part of students' final grade for the class.
Having students complete interviews ensures they are prepared for future opportunities and helps improve the CTE program overall.
