Professional Portfolios in CTE Pathways
In alignment with California Department of Education standards, students completing a Career Technical Education pathway engage in the creation of a professional portfolio and career plan, capturing artifacts like industry‑aligned projects, certifications, reflections, and career documentation. These portfolios reinforce the California Model Curriculum Standards by integrating academic, technical, and employability proficiencies in real‑world contexts. They support district and school leaders in measuring student growth, meeting the high‑quality elements required for accountability and continuous improvement. Furthermore, portfolios position students for postsecondary transition and workforce entry by providing tangible evidence of skills and competencies valued by employers and higher education.
Students will use their portfolios during their Student Showcase Interviews at the end of the course
